From year 1, we teach pre-cursive handwriting. This means we teach children to start forming letters from the line.
We are concentrating on forming the letters correctly.
If any child is not ready for pre-cursive writing, they will learn printed letter formation, starting at the top.
Strong finger muscles are key. Pegs, threading, playdough, tweezers, pop its are all activities you can do to develop fine motor skills to get the children ready to write.
